Ursula Le Guin
Ursula Le Guin, sci-fi / fantasy writer, has died aged 88.
She had a beautiful way of writing; I can still remember how stunned I felt the first time I read 'The Tombs of Atuan' years ago at my grandma's house when I was a teenager.
A later time: I'm at work in the staffroom reading a new book in the Earthsea sequence. It's the highlight of the day, her words are still beautiful.
