Snowflake Challenge #7
Challenge #7
LIST THREE (or more) THINGS YOU LIKE ABOUT YOURSELF. They don’t have to be your favorite things, just things that you think are good. Feel free to expand as much or as little as you want.
1. I like being able to fix things when possible. I make beaded jewellery so I have the tools to fix other peoples jewellery - I restring bracelets, replace the clasp on someones necklace if it's broken, etc.
2. I'm a writer, it's a comfort if I'm feeling stressed.
3. I can bake; I can make a cake from scratch and you can eat it (don't look at the icing too closely though, sometimes that can be tricky to make).

Yes ...
Go you!
I'm a fan of repair, so it's nice to see other folks doing that. I can fix jewelry. I can manage a few simple hardware repairs like replacing a latch.
Today we discovered that our usual craft show was a surprise small-farm show. One booth was handing out free lemonade, because they were demonstrating a press and a bottler. Looking in their catalog, yep, some items have spare parts listed, so it's clearly designed for repair. Because screw planned obsolescence. :D
The usual craft show has a multiple upcyclers. There's a lady who disassembles old broken jewelry to make new things. Last time there were a couple of rug makers, one woven, one braided. Quilters using actual scraps. A furniture upcycler who had the most spectacular dresser I ever did see, with a peacock painted down the front.
