Horrified

Am horrified that there was a mass shooting at two mosques yesterday in Christchurch. Men, women and children amongst the victims.  Apparently it was planned - planned! - for two years and the four people responsible chose Christchurch. Which has only been starting to pull itself back together after the killer earthquake some years back that destroyed the CBD.

Today I've heard that the streets of Christchurch are quiet... too quiet. My heart goes out to the poor city.

There are things you can do. Check to see if they're taking donations from outsiders; someone probably is.

Or you can sidestep the current mess and strike directly at the attackers' goals. They want Muslims not to exist and people to be afraid of each other. So do things to support Muslims and promote tolerance.

You really want to see the bigots lose their shit? Lobby for Wudumates in large public restrooms.
