At the shops
Today I went to a shopping mall looking for a new backpack as I needed one and there are sales on at the moment. One thing I wanted for my ideal backpack was lots of extra compartments. I noticed the ones probably aimed at males were in sober colours with lots of compartments. The backpacks aimed at females were bright and cheerful with only one extra compartment, if that. Sometimes it looked more decorative than useful.
When you see this sort of thing, you can't unsee it (like the pink tax). Grr.
In the end I found and bought a navy blue backpack with some pink detail and lots of extra compartments. Maybe they realised tomboys / serious women existed as well after all...

I bought a skirt recently and was so excited it had pockets - then I realised how difficult it is to find clothes with them.
The label that produced the skirt is eco-friendly and a bit progressive, i.e. thinks women like pockets.

I must have about 5 backpacks with different functions: only 2-3 compartments if it's a day out, lots more if I'm going away, and one that's designed for a laptop. Note to self: no more backpacks. You have enough.
