Lockdown news

Well, Auckland is still in a strict lockdown for the next fortnight (at least?), but the rest of the country is in a more relaxed lockdown. This means you can get takeaways now... and apparently there have been long queues outside some takeaway places.

[Entertains fond daydream where I go to the regions border and send off some drones to fetch pizza for me. Yes, I miss pizza, how did you guess?]

There was a big thunderstorm on Monday afternoon and I think the house shook a bit at one point. It rained through the night and caused flooding in West Auckland. The weather is more peaceful today and I went for a walk around the block.

Hope you're doing alright in Fortland. Delta and the flooding--not fun. Hope those R values go down so you guys can join us in L3 soon.

It's been sunny over here, and I went for about an hour long walk. Haven't been to coffee shops myself, but have reaped the benefits of takeaways.

Thanks for that. Yes, Delta and flooding was a bad mix for some. :( Someone with Covid escaped quarantine recently for around 12 hours before he was found, so who knows how many he infected, ugh. That will probably keep us at L4 for longer.

Glad you're enjoying the sun and takeaways. I've been going for short walks most days and I'm crocheting a scarf, so that's keeping me occupied.
