Snowflake Challenge # 13
In your own space, share a favourite memory about fandom.
I was lucky enough to meet author Mercedes Lackey and her artist husband Larry Dixon at a convention years ago. They were at the auction event and Larry started quietly drawing on an art pad. Towards the end of the auction, he showed he had completed an amazing pencil drawing of Vanyel in that short time, and he was donating it to the auction.
The room went wild and there was an amazing (and expensive) bidding war. You couldn't help but wish it was yours (no, I didn't get it).
